I wonder how long this business will actually remain in business
A brave soul bearing the cold while scratching a lottery ticket (?)
Open for business but hardly any customers on this cold winter day
I wondered what type of person would wash their car in such fridgif temperatures... a person who loves their car more than themselves, thats who. The last time I committed such an act, was over 20 years ago and I certainly regretted it when my locks froze and it took forever to get inside my car. (I was almost late for work… trust that I learned a very valuable lesson)
Auto Zone is always open for business and normally the parking lot is full of repeat customers, however I suppose the brave ones went to the car wash instead of buying car parts

The North end of East High School: For a stint, DPS has decided to close Manual High School. I wonder how long East High will remain.

Travel down the street, and you will see where I was raised. At the time, the Victorian home was considered cheap, lower class - the ghetto.
Today, the same home where I was raised, now belongs to my brother. It is an expensive home with the last appraised value of $350,000.

Now, I live in Great-Ghetto-Slum-Trashy Green Valley Ranch. Seems I have come full circle: I started in the ghetto and ended in the ghetto.

When I was just knee-high to a grasshopper, my siblings and I would walk past this home each Sunday on our way to church. I still recall that bulldog that use to scare the heebeegeebee’s out of me.
Days before, the streets were made of ice which lead me to believe that is what landed this car here. That or the car was stolen and just left by its joy riders.

More caulking as well as painting evenly would have been fine
The paint was uneven
Prior to their painting, the top portion of the vent was painted Blush Pink and the bottom was Indian red a light. In addition, it would have been nice to have the trim painted evenly
The paint was very thin and we could see the old paint. In addition, it would have been nice to have a little more caulking
Not only was the new paint thin to the point where we could see the old paint, but it is so obvious that the house needed caulking
We expected our rocks to be painted or splashed, but we did not expect our bricks and the wood on the ground to be sprayed with paint. It was so disheartening to see our bricks turned over to conceal their mistake as they could have just told us.
PRIOR to their arrival, this gate closed without any problems. Afterwards, the gate was jarred; would not close properly
In the future, we will hire our friend who is a non-professional painter, rent the machine and paint our home ourselves. Had this Company actually took pride in their work, we were prepared to hire them to paint the inside of our home as well. Oh, and last but not least, we were not looking for a full refund, but a partial one. Alternatively, we would be satisfied if they hired a "professional painter" - one who can paint a straight lines - power wash, caulk and repaint the entire home.
Our pipes had been winterized and the faucet cap was previously attached, but after the painters used the water, they failed to replace it
What was so upsetting was all the money and time we had spent replacing and applying wood protector to the wood around our trees, the painters splashed paint all over them
It wasn’t just the wood around the trees closer to the home, but the wood around the tree close to the side walk.
We have no idea as to how this happened
Initially, our solicitation was as follows: NEEDED Professional Exterior House Painter June 24, 2005 I retrieved your profile from Tom Martino's web-site, The TroubleShooter and am looking for a professional craftsman to paint the entire exterior of my home. I need the individual to be bonded and insured as well as stand by the quality of their work. In addition, I need a contract that clearly states that I will not be responsible for full payment until the job is completed to my satisfaction. Once the job is completed, I expect that the individual will leave my property in the manner in which they arrived. For example, currently my property is nicely manicured in both the front and backyard. There is not any paint stains or drippings on my house or property as well as there is not any trash or other debris. Once the job is completed, I expect it to be left in the same condition. I live in a controlled community where there are association rules in which I must comply. Therefore, I will need a professional painter who provides quality work. If you can offer what I need, please contact me via email and/or telephone to schedule a comparable meeting. At which time, I will need for you to provide a dollar estimate, the length of time as well as the number of workers it will take to complete the job and a feasible date that you will be able to start the job and an estimated completion date. Thank you, for your attention; I look forward to scheduling a meeting.
After sifting through several viable Companies, we went to the BBB website and sent the same message. We had our home painted and this our letter This is our letter to A Affordable Painting Inc.: February 8, 2006 A Affordable Painting Inc. 11719 Chase Court Westminster, CO 80020 Re: Service Provided While we searched for professional painting Companies to paint the outside of our home, my husband chose yours. Please note, it was not your price as several of the estimates we received, were cheaper, however, we chose your Company because of the demeanor displayed during the consultation. We had sincerely looked forward in giving your Company our business. Notwithstanding, at this time, we deeply regret our decision. We should have not allowed your Company to paint our home. The problem first began when your Company failed to contact us with the actual date and starting time. As we were full aware that the weather would not permit to have our home painted, we assumed that you would have communicated with us. However, you did not, forcing us to believe that we were not in your schedule, hence, we had begun looking through previous estimates; making plans for this coming fall. Mr. Nicoletti, I am so sure you have been in business for many years and have served your clients well – along with repeat customers. However, I believe your customer relations differ from mine. Over the years, I have served many individuals in a customer service setting, and it was always my goal to make sure that my potential customer did not have a chance to be someone else’s "potential customer." While I was not always allowed to have face to face contact with my potential clients, I always made sure to communicate with them so that I could earn their business with a good conscious. I never wanted them to forget me, and if I were not able to fulfill their expectations, then I made sure to contact them right away. Even if I had no control (weather etc…) I would contact them, keeping them informed of my plans. As explained to you on the telephone, I expressed my concerns of power washing as well as the possibilities of you completing the job in the fall. You assured me that everything would be just fine, but, Mr. Nicoletti, it was not. I honestly believe that your Company, if not rushed, could have provided a better quality of work. (My husband reminded your workers to take their time…) While noticing other painting Companies provide the same service as yours, I have noticed that it took more than 3 days to complete the job and the result was of high quality. I deeply regret allowing your Company to serve me. If I were able, I would have all of the paint removed from my home, or go back to the day before your arrival. However, I can not. Instead, I am stuck with the reminder that a Company, who states that they are proud members of the BBB and the PDCA, provided such a disservice to me. While I looked over the fact that you would not power wash my home (unlike other Companies who have painted homes), it is impossible for me to get over the poor quality of work provided. I do not wish to be so harsh, but I am just livid! Disappointed with myself that I did not find a better painting Company to do the job. If, I thought I was asking too much of your Company, then I would not have contracted with you. I didn’t know…I just didn’t know. As I think back to my original request for a painter, I stated that I was in need of, a professional painter. While I am reminded to seek the positive of this ordeal, I appreciate the personality of your workers... I had considered hiring your Company to paint the shed as well as the entire upstairs of my home. However, at the end of the second day, I recanted as I was faced with so many things that needed to be redone. As of today, I am stuck with:
From a distance, my home looks great, but up close, it is a sloppy mess. At this point, the only thing that could fix this, is to have the entire home repainted but with professional trimming. While I did expect for some of the rocks or grass to be splattered, I did not expect to have my bricks and the fresh wood trimming around the tree to be splattered as well. Although, I can accept that the bricks were splattered, I certainly did not expect them to be turned over so that they would be concealed from me.
With your Company, I am being forced to pay more, yet receive less in service. However, with the verbal promises I received from the other Companies, the estimates were less and I would have received more of a service. I suppose I fooled myself in expecting quality service.
Through all of this, Mr. Nicoletti, I am so sorry that I did not know any better and will continue to search where I went wrong during this whole ordeal. Other than not hearing the doorbell earlier this evening, I just do not know… Again I suppose my business tactics differ slightly than yours…I just don’t know; I didn’t know.
I look forward in seeing you and/or your workers tomorrow, Saturday, October 15th at 8:00am.
